Scheduled for release on February 3, 2017, Rings (2017) relives Samara Morgan’s urban legend thirteen years later from the first movie, a young woman giving herself the job of saving her boyfriend from the apparent death brought upon by the cursed videotape.
Suspiria, an Italian horror film from 1977, has been lauded for its visuals, which has never fallen short of gore and effects. Now, it’s set to have a remake for this year, with Luca Guadagnino directing. The cast includes Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Chloe Grace-Moretz and Mia Goth, the first two having previously worked with Guadagnino. However, for the fans of the original, they might be seeing something entirely different from the original’s evocative lighting, as the director himself has said the remake has a different approach to the material.
Although considered to be the lowest grossing horror franchise in the United States, the Hellraiser series has gotten itself a new movie in its arsenal, set for a 2017 release date. Hellraiser: Judgment is the tenth installment of the series, written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, who promises that this sequel will not be for the sake that current rights holder Dimension Studios can keep their rights for the franchise, unlike the previous Revelations.
